Kelly Oakes

My name is Kelly Oakes. I’m a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, and a wild woman, with an aim and passion to encourage your inner wild to be acknowledged, witnessed and cherished. With over four years of experience, I specialise in working with individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual trauma, and the complex landscapes that follow.

I hold a space for you to meet your authentic self, your truths and your wisdom. Therapy is not about ‘‘fixing’’ what is wrong, but about uncovering the parts of you that have been hidden and suppressed. Just like a wild oak grows strong and untamed, you, too can reclaim your power, shed old stories, and grow into your fullest self. This is a place for deep exploration, grounded presence and transformation - all in support of your personal evolution.

WHAT I OFFER

Psychotherapy Services

I offer integrative psychotherapy in a calm, grounded space, supporting you through trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges and periods of transition. Sessions are available in-person, online, or as walk-and-talk therapy, depending on what feels most supportive for you.

All psychotherapy begins with a 15–20 minute discovery call, followed by an initial assessment session. This allows us to explore what brings you to therapy and ensure the work is shaped around you and your needs before moving into ongoing sessions.

Therapy is a place where your world can be held gently.  Whether you’re navigating the impact of trauma, carrying emotions that feel too heavy on your own, or simply longing to reconnect with who you truly are — you will be supported here. Together, we move at pace your nervous system can trust.

I work with clients of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, and belief systems, and I strive to provide therapy that honours each person’s unique experience. I provide short-term, long-term, or open-ended therapy, which can be especially supportive for those with:

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress

  • Domestic or sexual abuse

  • Anxiety, panic, and overwhelm

  • Low mood, depression, or emotional numbness

  • Relationship difficulties and attachment patterns

  • Self-esteem, identity, and boundaries

  • Neurodiversity and navigating difference

  • Spiritual exploration, meaning, and inner reconnection

  • Stress, burnout, and life transitions

  • Women’s issues, sexuality, and shame-based experiences

If you're unsure where to begin, I also offer a free, gentle 20-minute consultation call — a chance to meet, ask questions, and see whether working together feels right for you.
